Former Hostage Mia Regev Released From Hospital After Months-Long Recovery

Former hostage Mia Regev, one of the Israelis kidnapped by Hamas terrorists on Oct. 7, has been released from the hospital after an extensive rehabilitation process following her release from Gaza in November.

Footage of Regev showed her hospital bracelet being ceremoniously removed, marking the end of her medical treatment.

Regev suffered severe injuries after she was shot at the Nova Music Festival massacre on Oct. 7., the infamous day when Hamas-led Palestinian terrorists murdered 1,200 people and abducted over 250 hostages during their rampage across southern Israel. The surprise invasion prompted Israel to launch its ongoing military campaign in Hamas-ruled Gaza to free the hostages and destroy the terrorist group.

While in Gaza, surgeons reattached Regev’s foot. However, it was positioned sideways and at an unnatural angle.

Regev and her brother, Itay, were among 105 civilian hostages freed in a temporary truce in late November.

When Regev returned to Israel, she underwent surgery and had to wear a brace on her leg for several months.

Regev was one of the former hostages held by Hamas terrorists in Gaza who testified at an emotional hearing at the Knesset, Israel’s parliament, in April, recounting harrowing tales of sexual harassment and abuse.

“As hard as it is to say, every girl there goes through sexual harassment one way or another,” said Regev, who was freed after 50 days in captivity. Fighting back tears, she urged lawmakers to take action, saying, “Your job is to bring them back home.”

There are currently over 100 hostages still in Gaza.
