About this event
Join us at Howard University School of Law for a powerful event focused on the decades-long legal battle to exonerate Marcus Mosiah Garvey. Dr. Julius Garvey will discuss his recent book, Justice for Marcus Garvey: Look for Me in the Whirlwind, his father’s enduring legacy, and the historic posthumous Presidential Pardon granted by President Joe Biden.
This event will highlight the 40-year fight for justice, the legal and political advocacy that led to the pardon, and the continued efforts toward full exoneration. Featured speakers include Howard Law Professor Justin Hansford, Congresswoman Yvette Clarke, Akin Gump attorney Anthony Pierce, and other distinguished voices in law and activism.
Together, we will explore the path forward in securing justice for Marcus Garvey and ensuring his contributions to Black empowerment and global justice are fully recognized. Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of this historic conversation. See you there!
