Monrovia, Liberia, July 16, 2024Liberia has been selected to host the first edition of the Exponential Conference, which aims to revitalize ministries. The conference will focus on practical insights to transform business leadership and address Liberia’s national leadership deficit.

The meeting is scheduled for July 23, 2024, at the EJS Ministerial Complex in Congo Town, Monrovia.

Elevation Church, in partnership with Life Nation and Equip Leadership, organizes the flagship program, which is themed” Catalysts for the Next Wave.”

The one-day event, which is expected to attract 500 participants from across the African region, will also focus on acquiring tools to run an effective church and entrepreneurship.

Key speakers are Pastor Godman Akinlabi, Convener, Exponential Conference, and Pastor Yemi Davids, Global Lead Pastor, Global Impact Church. Leaders from Liberia will make presentations and the event will be interspersed with practical sessions to give participants a chance to share their experiences.

Speaking in a news conference on Sunday, July 14, 2024, in the City of Paynesville, the organizers said they are firm believers in the transformative influence of visionary churches creating a positive impact on the world. Vision is for a better world, and they want to inspire church leaders to share in that vision, saying, “Together, we can be catalysts for the next wave of glory, transform lives, church leadership, and the world.”

Moreover, providing an overview and background of the occasion, Varney E. Qualah, Pastor of Life Church, narrated that the Elevation Church is based in Nigeria with branches around the World, and it has been branded for over eight years. He said Liberia was picked to host the first edition of this conference for the first time outside Nigeria.

“This conference will be hosted in Liberia to enhance activities of the body of Christ and build capacity of business leadership”, he assured.

“We came in contact with Exponential Conference 2019, incorporating over 70 pastors over the last years for the conference, to help them learn and operate a church better. Exponential is coming to Liberia this month, July 23, 2024, at the EJS Ministerial Complex beginning at 9 am with no cost to participants”, he added.

Buttressing Pastor Qualah as she outlined other conference benefits, Christina Doe, Co-Pastor of New Covenant Church, said participating churches in Liberia will benefit from structuring leadership, working with young people and children, and revamping leadership.

“Every nation has its challenge regarding leadership, and I think Liberia has its share. As my colleagues have said, this event is an eye-opener which we want people to come and get the knowledge of transformation”, said Ms Doe.

Also speaking, Benedict Danuweli, Coordinator of Equip Leadership Liberia, termed the meeting an eye-opener for Liberia. He noted that it is open to pastors, business leaders, and church workers.

He said the conference will delve into economic leadership, which will help participants improve their church or business activities.

Mr. Danuweli stressed, “The deficit of leadership exists across Africa, and this model will address and make known some of the things that will improve leadership and bridge the difficult gap.” Editing by Jonathan Browne
