Internationally acclaimed journalist, political consultant and exemplary Director of Communications and International Relations for the Institute of the Black World 21st Century Don Rojas will soon be retiring. With his wife, Karen, he plans to return to his beloved Grenada and take a well-deserved rest from his life of revolutionary activism.

As part of our salute to his tireless resolve and dedication to global liberation we are asking you to help us raise a minimum of $75,000 on his 75th Birthday, Oct. 15th, to support the Black World Media Network as his Legacy Project. “This is the least we can do as our collective expression of gratitude for his life of service,” said Dr. Ron Daniels, President of the IBW.

This auspicious occasion will take place on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at the historic House of the Lord Church in Brooklyn, 415 Atlantic Ave. and will be hosted by the Rev. Dr. Herbert Daughtry and Rev. Dr. Karen Daughtry. The esteemed actor and activist Danny Glover is the event’s honorary chairperson and the keynote address will be delivered by noted Professor Hilary Beckles. The celebration will convene at 7pm with the doors opening at 6:30pm. It will be both a virtual and in-person event.
