The Urban League is organizing a virtual town hall event focused on the power of voting. The event will be held on Zoom on Wednesday, October 2, 2024.
“Reclaim Your Vote for Democracy” will focus on the importance of civic engagement amid voting challenges, and highlight what’s at stake in this election. Voting registration resources will also be available to help ensure that people are ready to vote in November and beyond.
The conversation will be moderated by Ed Gordon, Emmy Award-winning Broadcaster and President of Ed Gordon Media, and it will feature a number of familiar names and faces including:
- Marc H. Morial, President, CEO, National Urban League
- LaTosha Brown, Founder, Executive Director, Black Votes Matter,
- Stefanie Brown James, Co-Founder, The Collective PAC,
- Jenifer Lewis, Award-winning Actress
- Judge Greg Mathis
- Jerika L. Richardson, SVP, Equitable Justice & Strategic Initiatives, National Urban League,
- Lauren Speed-Hamilton, Media Personality, Entrepreneur, Author,
- Khalil Thompson, Executive Director, Win With Black Men,
- Sheryl Underwood, CEO, Pack Rat Production, CEO Pack Rat Foundation for Education, and
- YelloPain, Globally Recognized Rapper, Motivational Speaker, and Political Activist.
